What is included in the installation?
Our package covers the device and the work needed to install, connect and test it. You leave with the app set up and a walkthrough of the controls.

- App activation, account setup and checks of tracking, alerts and immobilizer operation while the vehicle is stationary.

- Six months of coverage for Corsa Nero’s installation workmanship. The device and tracking service remain subject to Trackhawk’s own terms.
The installation is more than the device itself. Concealed placement, wiring, setup and testing are part of the service. Before you leave, you should understand how to find your vehicle in the app, review its information and operate the controls safely.
We use Trackhawk to monitor our own luxury and exotic rental fleet. Our technician installs the same system for clients, with the hardware and wiring positioned discreetly within the vehicle.
Tracking fees and first-year cost
The tracking plan is billed separately by Trackhawk. It supports live location, trip history, geofence alerts and remote commands through the app or web dashboard. An active subscription and cellular coverage are required.

The annual plan is paid upfront; monthly billing spreads the subscription payments across the year. The $18 monthly equivalent is a comparison figure, not a separate monthly plan. These totals include one installation and twelve months of tracking for one vehicle.
For multiple vehicles, calculate the subscription for each device. Do not assume one account means one subscription charge for the entire fleet. Ask about current multi-vehicle options if you are equipping more than one car.

GPS tracker, hidden kill switch or both?
A location tracker and a kill switch serve different purposes. The functions you need determine which installation you should compare.
GPS tracking
A tracker provides location information. A connected system can also offer trip history and alerts when the vehicle crosses a boundary you set. Tracking alone does not mean the device can immobilize the car.
A standalone hidden kill switch
A standalone manual switch adds a physical control to an electrical circuit. It does not, by itself, provide GPS location, trip history or remote app access. A price for this type of installation is not directly comparable to a connected GPS-and-immobilizer package.
A combined GPS and immobilizer system
Corsa Nero’s package combines the two functions: tracking information and remote immobilizer control. It is a concealed hardwired installation, not simply a device plugged into the vehicle’s diagnostic port. Live features and remote commands depend on the tracking subscription and cellular coverage.
What can change the installation price?
Your vehicle’s year, make, model and wiring access affect the work involved. The hardware needs suitable placement, secure connections and testing as part of the vehicle’s electrical system. The same installation can require different work in two different vehicles.
Vehicle access and existing equipment
Tell the installer about aftermarket alarms, remote starters or previous wiring modifications. That information helps them assess the vehicle without assuming it still has its original wiring arrangement. A quote for another make or model may not reflect the work your vehicle needs.
What the quote actually includes
Confirm whether the price includes the device, immobilizer integration, installation, app setup and testing. Also check the recurring service charge and the workmanship coverage. A hardware-only advertisement leaves out work that an installed package includes.

Choosing protection for your vehicle
For a personal vehicle, the practical benefits are location access, alerts and immobilizer control without needing to be beside the car. Consider how often you will check the app and which notifications you want to receive.
For Turo hosts, rental operators and business fleets, trip history and geofence alerts can help identify vehicle use that needs attention. Review who has account access and who is permitted to use remote commands. Limit remote-control access to people who have been shown how and when to use it.
Choose an installation based on the functions you need and the complete cost of keeping them active. A tracking device does not replace insurance or guarantee that a stolen vehicle will be recovered.
