Car Rental FAQ

Clear information about booking, driver approval, insurance, pricing, delivery, vehicle use, the partnership program and vehicle-security installations.

Rental Requirements & Booking

What is reviewed before a Corsa Nero vehicle is released.

What is required to rent a vehicle?

Every driver must complete Corsa Nero’s approval process and provide a valid driver’s license, qualifying auto insurance and any requested identification. Age, deposit and vehicle-specific requirements are confirmed before booking. Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee approval.

How do I reserve a vehicle?

Start by sending the vehicle, rental dates and requested delivery location. Corsa Nero confirms availability, completes driver and insurance review, then provides the complete quote and rental agreement. A booking is confirmed only after all required documents, signatures and payments are complete.

How much mileage is included?

Included mileage and the applicable overage rate vary by vehicle and rental length. Both are stated in the quote and rental agreement before booking.

What fuel level is required at return?

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level documented at handoff. Any applicable refueling charge is handled according to the rental agreement.

Is smoking, vaping or eating permitted?

No. Smoking, vaping and eating are prohibited inside Corsa Nero vehicles. Documented cleaning, odor-remediation or damage charges may apply as stated in the rental agreement.

Insurance & Driver Approval

Coverage must be verified before any rental vehicle is released.

What insurance is required?

Every approved driver must have qualifying auto insurance that extends the required coverage to the rented vehicle. Coverage is verified before release; an insurance card alone does not establish approval.

What if my current policy does not qualify?

Contact your insurance provider and ask whether suitable coverage is available for the specific rental. Corsa Nero cannot release a vehicle until the required coverage has been verified.

How is insurance verified?

Corsa Nero verifies policy status and applicable coverage with the insurer or an approved verification provider. Additional documentation may be requested before final approval.

Rates, Deposits & Payments

The complete financial terms are provided before confirmation.

Is a security deposit required?

Yes. The amount depends on the vehicle and booking. Your quote and rental agreement state the required deposit, authorization process, release terms and circumstances that may result in documented deductions.

How is the rental price determined?

Pricing depends on the selected vehicle, dates, rental length, included mileage and delivery location. Listed daily prices are starting rates. A complete quote is provided before the booking is confirmed.

Can additional charges apply?

The quote identifies the estimated rental total and known mandatory charges. The rental agreement explains conditional charges that may apply, including excess mileage, late return, refueling, tolls, citations, damage or excessive cleaning.

What payment methods are accepted?

Accepted payment methods and authorization requirements are provided with the quote. A booking is not confirmed until the required payment, deposit and rental documents are complete.

Delivery, Driving Area & Vehicle Rules

Delivery coverage and the approved driving area are separate terms.

Does Corsa Nero offer vehicle delivery?

Yes. Delivery is free within Dearborn. Delivery to other Metro Detroit and DTW-area locations is subject to availability and quoted before booking. The delivery location does not change the vehicle’s approved driving area.

Is this a chauffeur service?

No. Corsa Nero provides self-drive rentals. Every person who will operate the vehicle must be approved and listed in the rental agreement.

Where may I drive the vehicle?

Wayne County is the default approved driving area. Travel outside Wayne County requires written approval from Corsa Nero before the rental begins.

Are Corsa Nero vehicles GPS tracked?

Yes. Corsa Nero rental vehicles use GPS and supported telematics for location, mileage and vehicle-security purposes. Monitoring and data use are disclosed in the signed rental agreement. Tampering with installed equipment is prohibited.

Can another person drive the vehicle?

Only drivers approved in advance and named in the signed rental agreement may operate the vehicle. Each additional driver must complete the required license and insurance review before handoff.

Are racing, drifting or track use permitted?

No. Racing, drifting, burnouts, track use, reckless operation and other prohibited uses are not permitted. Violations are handled according to the rental agreement and may result in termination of the rental and responsibility for resulting costs or damage.

Who is responsible for tickets and tolls?

The renter is responsible for tolls, traffic citations, parking violations and related charges incurred during the rental. Any applicable administrative charge is disclosed in the rental agreement.

Vehicle Partnership Program

A documented program for qualified vehicle owners.

How does the partnership program work?

A qualified owner retains ownership and makes an accepted vehicle available under a written partnership agreement. Corsa Nero manages rental marketing, inquiries, renter screening, booking coordination, agreements, handoffs and condition records. The program uses a documented 50/50 revenue-sharing structure, with calculations and payout terms defined in the agreement.

What vehicles are considered?

Select luxury, exotic and performance vehicles are reviewed individually. Corsa Nero considers market fit, condition, maintenance history, ownership documents, lender or lessor permission and applicable insurance requirements.

How much can a partner earn?

There is no guaranteed earnings amount. Vehicle acceptance, booking volume and income depend on the vehicle, rate, condition, demand, season and available dates. Revenue calculations are governed by the written partnership agreement.

How do I apply?

Submit accurate vehicle information through the Vehicle Partnership Program page. An application begins an eligibility review and does not guarantee acceptance. Corsa Nero will contact suitable applicants to discuss documentation, availability and written terms.

GPS Tracker & Kill Switch Installation

Discreet vehicle-security installations for compatible vehicles.

What does the installed system provide?

Corsa Nero installs concealed GPS tracking and authorized restart-control systems for compatible vehicles. Available functions depend on the selected hardware, service plan, network coverage and vehicle configuration. Restart control is intended for use only after the vehicle is safely stopped; it is not designed to shut down a moving vehicle.

How much does installation cost?

Installation starts at $699. The final quote depends on the vehicle, selected equipment and installation scope. Any required subscription and current plan pricing are disclosed before work begins.

Will the equipment be visible?

The hardware is placed discreetly in a location selected for the specific vehicle. Final placement depends on vehicle design and service-access requirements, and the exact location is not publicly disclosed.

How long does installation take?

Installation time depends on the vehicle and approved scope. The expected timeframe, service location and handoff instructions are confirmed before the appointment.

Who performs the installation?

Installation is completed by Corsa Nero’s in-house automotive electrical technician. Each job includes a written quote, before-and-after documentation and a six-month workmanship warranty. Equipment, manufacturer and subscription terms remain separate.

Is every vehicle compatible?

No. Compatibility and available functions vary by year, make, model and vehicle configuration. Send the vehicle details to Corsa Nero for review before scheduling.

Can the system be installed on a fleet vehicle?

Customer-owned and fleet vehicles may qualify. The customer must own the vehicle or have authority to approve the work, and use of the system must comply with applicable law and any financing, leasing, insurance or platform requirements.

Where are installations performed?

Installations are scheduled by appointment. Corsa Nero confirms the service location and vehicle handoff instructions after reviewing compatibility and the requested scope. Visit the Vehicle Protection page to request an installation.
