03How We Collect Information

We may collect information:

  • Directly from you, an authorized driver, vehicle owner, lessee or representative.
  • From insurers, agents and verification providers when you authorize or request verification.
  • From motor-vehicle record or driver-verification providers, when permitted by law and used for screening.
  • From fleet partners, claims participants, repair providers, roadside providers, law enforcement or other parties involved in a rental, incident or claim.
  • From rental vehicles and their GPS or telematics systems; from Trackhawk when you authorize activation, testing or support; and from website technologies.
  • From public records or other lawful sources when reasonably necessary for eligibility, fraud prevention, collections, claims or legal compliance.

If you provide information about another person—such as an authorized driver, emergency contact, vehicle owner or lessee—you confirm that you are authorized to provide it and will direct that person to this policy where appropriate.

04How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and confirm vehicle or service availability.
  • Verify identity, driver eligibility, insurance and payment information.
  • Prepare quotes, reservations, estimates, agreements, invoices and other transaction records.
  • Coordinate deliveries, appointments, handoffs, returns, inspections and customer support.
  • Operate and protect rental vehicles, administer the partner program, and provide vehicle-protection installations and warranty support.
  • Document vehicle condition, investigate incidents, handle claims, collect amounts owed and enforce agreements.

05Rental Documentation & GPS Tracking

We may copy or photograph identity and insurance documents for verification and photograph or record a vehicle's condition, mileage, fuel level, equipment and damage before and after a rental. These records may be used for handoffs, claims, disputes, fraud prevention, collections and agreement enforcement. We do not use a customer's image or likeness in advertising without separate permission.

Rental vehicle tracking notice. Corsa Nero rental vehicles use GPS or telematics systems during the rental period. Depending on the system, data may include precise location, routes, timestamps, speed, mileage, ignition or device status and tamper alerts.

We use rental-vehicle tracking data for vehicle security and recovery, mileage and approved-travel compliance, roadside or emergency response, incident and claim handling, and enforcement of the rental agreement. We may disclose relevant data to an insurer, participating vehicle owner, law enforcement, legal counsel or another party when permitted or required for those purposes.

Renters receive separate written tracking notice and sign the applicable acknowledgment in the rental agreement. This Privacy Policy is a disclosure of our data practices; it does not replace that signed acknowledgment.

06Vehicle Protection & Trackhawk

For vehicle-protection customers, Corsa Nero processes inquiry, vehicle, ownership or authorization, appointment, installation, payment and warranty records needed to provide and support the installation service.

Trackhawk LLC is an independent hardware and platform provider. Trackhawk separately processes account, subscription, device, application, cellular and precise-location data under its own Privacy Policy. Corsa Nero does not control Trackhawk's platform or privacy practices.

Any Corsa Nero access to a customer account or installed device is limited to activation, testing or support authorized by the customer. If access is needed for another purpose, we describe that access and obtain separate written authorization first.

07Calls, Texts & Email

We may call, text or email to respond to an inquiry, provide a requested quote, administer a rental or installation, send appointment or trip information, address an incident, or provide customer support.

Promotional text messages are sent only after any separate consent required by law. Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of renting a vehicle or purchasing a service. You may withdraw consent by any reasonable method, including replying STOP. Message and data rates may apply.

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe method. We honor valid opt-out requests as required by law and may retain a limited suppression record so that we do not resume messages you declined. We do not provide mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data or consent records to third parties for their own marketing.

08Cookies & Website Technologies

Our website is hosted by Squarespace and may use Squarespace features, cookies and analytics. Website forms may be processed and delivered through Web3Forms. The site may also use Google analytics or advertising tools and an Elfsight/Google reviews widget. These providers may receive technical information such as IP address, device and browser data, referring pages, site activity and cookie identifiers under their own privacy policies.

You can manage cookies through your browser and any cookie controls displayed on the site. Blocking some cookies may affect website features. Our website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. Third-party analytics, advertising tools, embedded content and review widgets may collect activity over time and across websites under their own policies.

Provider notices are available from Squarespace, Web3Forms, Elfsight and Google.

09How We Disclose Information

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary:

  • Website and business providers: Squarespace, Web3Forms, email and communications providers, payment processors, analytics and advertising providers, and review-widget providers.
  • Rental and service providers: insurers, driver-verification providers, roadside and towing providers, repair or inspection providers, claims handlers and Trackhawk.
  • Fleet vehicle owners: when information is needed for a booking, vehicle management, incident, claim, payment, agreement or legal obligation.
  • Professional and legal recipients: accountants, attorneys, collection providers, insurers, adjusters, law enforcement, courts and government authorities when permitted or required.
  • Business transaction recipients: advisers or a successor involved in a financing, merger, sale, reorganization or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell or rent customer lists for money. We do not disclose inquiry, rental, installation or partner-program information to unrelated third parties for their own direct marketing. Analytics and advertising technologies may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under some state privacy laws; where a law applies, we provide the choices it requires.

10Insurance & Driver Verification

We may contact an insurer or agent, with appropriate authorization, to verify active coverage and rental eligibility. We may also review a driver's license, motor-vehicle record, rental or incident history, and other lawfully available eligibility information as part of the approval process.

Any notice, authorization or disclosure required for a third-party screening service is provided separately from this Privacy Policy.

11Data Retention

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The period varies by record and may depend on an active rental, installation, partnership or warranty; tax and accounting requirements; insurance and claims; fraud prevention; collections; contract enforcement; litigation holds; and other legal obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize or securely destroy it, subject to backup cycles and lawful retention requirements. Information held by Trackhawk, Squarespace or another independent provider is subject to that provider's retention practices.

12Information Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we handle. No website, electronic transmission or storage system can guarantee complete security.

If a data incident requires notice under applicable law, we will provide the required notice to affected individuals or authorities.

13Your Choices & Privacy Requests

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal information. You may also ask us to access, correct or delete information we maintain about you, or to explain how it has been used or disclosed.

We may verify your identity before completing a request. We may retain or decline to delete information needed for an active agreement, tax or accounting obligations, fraud and security, insurance or claims, collections, litigation, recordkeeping or other legal requirements. We respond as required by applicable law.

To stop marketing messages, use the opt-out method in the message or contact us. Cookie choices can be managed through available site controls and browser settings.

14Children & Policy Updates

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it unless retention is legally required.

We may update this policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. We may provide additional notice when required by law or when a change materially affects how we use information.
