Installation Terms
These terms cover Trackhawk GPS and vehicle-immobilizer installation services. They are separate from Corsa Nero’s vehicle-rental terms.
Important: Submitting a website quote request does not authorize installation. Required owner or lessee consent must be completed separately.
1. Installation and Vehicle Eligibility
Corsa Nero LLC independently installs Trackhawk GPS tracking and immobilizer systems by appointment in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Customers may come from any location, but every vehicle must pass a compatibility and condition review.
Depending on the vehicle, the interruption output may connect to a fuel-pump, starter-control, ignition-control or another compatible vehicle circuit.
2. Ownership, Consent and Lawful Use
The registered owner or current lessee must knowingly consent in writing to installation, activation and stationary testing of the GPS and immobilizer system. Corsa Nero may require photo identification, registration, title, lease information or written authorization signed by the owner or lessee. Possession of a vehicle or its keys alone is not sufficient authority.
The system may be used only for lawful vehicle-security or management purposes. Vehicle owners and fleet operators are responsible for providing any legally required notices and obtaining any legally required acknowledgments from renters, employees and other drivers. A rental lessor using an aftermarket tracker must provide clear written tracking notice and obtain the lessee’s signed acknowledgment when required by law.
3. Vehicle-Specific Circuit and Critical Safety
Warning — Activation May Stall a Running Engine
The result depends on the circuit used. A starter-control installation may prevent a future start. A fuel-pump, ignition-control or similar installation may stall the engine if activated while it is running. Engine stall may reduce steering and braking assistance and create a collision risk.
Never activate the immobilizer while the vehicle is moving or the engine is running. Activate it only after personally confirming that the vehicle is fully stopped in a safe location, secured against movement and the engine is off.
Do not create geofence, schedule, tamper or other automatic rules capable of activating the immobilizer while the vehicle is moving or the engine is running. GPS location, ignition status and app data may be delayed or inaccurate and must not be the sole basis for activation.
If theft is suspected, contact law enforcement and do not pursue the vehicle. Do not activate the immobilizer unless the safe-use conditions above have been independently confirmed.
4. Trackhawk Service, Account and Data
Trackhawk GPS is an independent hardware and service provider. An active Trackhawk subscription and cellular service are required for connected features. Trackhawk’s current Terms of Use and Privacy Policy govern its hardware, app, network, subscription and data services.
After handoff, the customer is responsible for passwords, authorized users, commands and automation settings. Unless separately authorized in writing, Corsa Nero’s account access is limited to activation, stationary testing and customer-requested support. Corsa Nero does not provide continuous monitoring or issue immobilizer commands after handoff.
5. System Limitations
The system is an added vehicle-security and recovery tool, not insurance. No tracking or immobilizer system can prevent every theft, unauthorized use, signal interruption, device failure or loss, and vehicle recovery is not guaranteed.
Operation may be affected by cellular or GPS coverage, subscription status, vehicle power, tampering, hardware, software, delayed data or account access. The customer remains responsible for insurance, account security and ordinary vehicle-security precautions.
6. Warranty Responsibilities
Corsa Nero provides a six-month workmanship warranty beginning on the completion date shown on the final invoice. It covers only the installation work identified in that invoice and is subject to the coverage, procedure and exclusions stated in the signed installation agreement.
Trackhawk hardware, software, cellular service, subscription and platform warranties are provided separately by Trackhawk under its own terms. Nothing in these terms limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be limited or Corsa Nero’s responsibility for negligent installation or breach of its written workmanship warranty.
7. Authorization and Handoff
Submitting a quote request does not approve the vehicle, reserve an appointment or authorize installation. Required authorization and consent must be completed before installation.
After installation, the system is tested with the vehicle safely stationary and the customer receives operating instructions and a final itemized invoice. These terms are governed by Michigan law.
